IT’S ALL ABOUT PASSION
If memory serves me, it all started around the age of six. As soon as I learned how to write, I did. I can remember asking my parents how to spell words as I went about writing my poetry and short stories. And I’ve had a love of language and the written word ever since.
Besides a passion for writing, I developed a passion for travel. Growing up on a small tree-covered island somewhere between Seattle and Tacoma in the Puget Sound, I lived a sheltered, idyllic life for sure, yet it wasn’t a very diverse or exciting experience. The only way on or off the island of approximately 10,000 people was by ferry boat. Our idea of travel was crossing the sound and visiting the “big city.” As I grew up, I also grew more curious of what else was out there in the world. Early on I developed a desire for discovery, adventure, and exploring different landscapes and cultures so removed from the beautiful yet boring (for a kid) island I called home.
Passion is critical for the industry, but I also come from generations of pioneers and self-employed business owners, and I worked in my family’s business growing up. This upbringing taught me many things, but most importantly how to be a self-starter dedicated to business building and success while being a creative thinker and problem solver. I will care for your business and customers as much as my own. Your success is my success!

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING THAT WORKS FOR YOU
Besides my passion for the travel industry and the 25 years as a copywriter writing all types of content marketing materials, I have written client proposals that landed millions in contracts and funding through government agencies and foundations. This skill translates into writing compelling and persuasive copy that increases sales for your travel, tourism, or hospitality related business.
I have also been studying and training throughout my career to better my craft and help my clients. I am a American Writers and Artists, Inc. (AWAI) verified copywriter having completed their Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting and the Master's Program for Six-Figure Copywriting.
Other training courses I completed include: Secrets to Writing High Performance B2B Copy by Steve Slaunwhite and Dan Kennedy's Writing for Info Marketers, both through AWAI, and The Ultimate Travel Writer’s Program by Great Escape Publishing. I am also a member of the Professional Writer’s Association (PWA), the Travel Writer’s Café, the International Travel Writers and Photographers Association (ITWPA), and AWAI’s Circle of Success.
ON A MORE PERSONAL NOTE
I currently reside in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho which reminds me a lot of my beloved Vashon Island. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest my whole life and in CdA for almost 20 years. I’m a single mom of two: a grown daughter and teenage son. When not writing and traveling, I enjoy planning my next trip and seeing what new bucket list items I can accomplish. I also enjoy hanging out with my family or friends, hiking the foothills of the North Idaho Panhandle, being lazy camping or floating the river in the summer or skiing in the winter – although I have yet to actually ski Idaho! I guess that’s one more thing to add to the bucket list.
